We left home at 11.11 and Rodders had settled down by 11.15.... Or had he? As I drove around the town he started up again, sounding quite distressed, then he quietened down. This is OK I thought and started to head towards St Albans to try out Pet Supermarket. As we got close to the M1 junction he started up again. We had been in the car 20 minutes and this was his 3rd bout :-(
I diverted off around the industrial estate and he quietened again, so back down Maylands Avenue and back out towards the motorway. As soon as we were moving and not doing stop start he settled. We got to Pet Supermarket and he seemed OK & possibly sleepy. Talked to him for a minute and then got him out the crate - don't want him thinking that the minute we stop he gets out. Had a good long look around the shop and bought a few bits, some more puppy treats, some pet odour and stain removal for carpets (wonder why we need that!) and some nylabones.
The journey home was much better, he settled quickly and didn't make a sound. Yippeeeee! I put him in the garden as soon as we got back and he wasn't impressed that I abandoned him while I dashed to the bathroom. Got back as quick as I could and made a fuss of him and then unpacked his nylabone. He seems to love it and has been playing with it for the last 10 minutes!
Right time to unload the washing machine and hang it out, it is another gorgeous day here :-)
