Oh dear, am I turning Rodders in to a wuss? Or am I trying too many new things each day which is unsettling him? Wish I knew.
We have been out for a wander around the neighbourhood but Rodders shook the whole time, all of a quiver, we only encountered cars and Pat and Bob from next door as they went off for their walk. He has been difficult to settle for a nap twice now, each time I have had to settle him on my knee before moving him to his snuggle fleece. Having gone in and out using the step he suddenly turned in to a whiny baby and wouldn't follow me back in without a great deal of encouragement.
And I know that I need to go out and leave him every day this week for a short time to get him used to the fact that I will always come back so that he can be left for increasing amounts of time. Please don't let it be a nightmare with him crying all the time.
I so want to get this right and have a well balanced, happy, dog who is a delight for anyone to be around.
