Leaving was hard to do

Pete came down just before I went to get ready and Rodders was a little shy with him to start with. They advanced on each other slowly but when Rodders thought Pete had got close enough he hot footed it in to the conservatory. I encouraged him back and he was OK.

I got my hair blow-dried for the first time in almost 2 weeks and got my togs on to go off to Sheila & Robins Wedding.

Rodders was concerned about the choice of clothes and knew that something was going on. I took him straight in to the garden but all he was interested in was sniffing me. We came back in and I spotted a piddle on the kitchen floor. I shut him in the lounge while I cleared that up and gave my boots a quick polish. Then it was time for me to leave and I felt torn. I know that he has to learn to be independent from me and that he would be in safe hands but he has been by my side and under my control for most of the last two weeks. So with a quick explanation I ran for it.
