Well OH arrived home early and got to see Rodders playing properly for the first time in a week. Saw how he can now play happily on his own, inside and outside, and use his step. He also got the camera out (his is way better than mine) so we may see more & improved photo's later!
He also got to see him be a little monkey as he got more tired. When he won't listen to no and needs to be removed to calm him down. Rodders got put in to the kitchen behind the baby gate while we finished dinner and was allowed out when we had finished. When he was quiet and good he got puppy treats, when he was barking or whinging he got ignored.
He wanted out so we went in to the garden. He was sniffing about and almost ready to go when someone let off a firework. He shot back to my side and I talked gently to him. When he felt less scared he went off sniffing again and started to perform as another firework went off and he bolted for the door. Bless him the final bit got done on the patio :-( But I can't complain, I don't like fireworks anymore than he does! But it is sad to be scared sh*tless!
While I made dessert (well, it is his birthday!) OH got Rodders settled down on his snuggle fleece close to the Dining Table. We both walked about clearing up and he didn't move, the dishwasher was put on and he didn't move, we came and sat in the lounge and he didn't move.
Feels strange not having him at my feet! How amazing in 9 days.
