No nap.........

I had just about got Rodders settled down for his afternoon snooze when Skevi, our cleaner, arrived. Any hope of a nap was now out of the window as he was far too interested in what was going on.

He did go in to the garden for a piddle and a bit of a play but wanted back in fairly quickly just in case he missed anything.

Being tired turns Rodders in to Kevin the teenager and he became more and more badly behaved earning himself time out in the kitchen behind the baby gate a couple of times (after the floor had been mopped of course). He is getting better at being behind the baby gates and hardly barks or whines at all now. When he is quiet he earns puppy treats (he doesn't eat them all and I collect them up after for recycling for later).

Once let out of the kitchen he was getting more and more snappy so it was time for a walk to try and calm him down. Once back we went in to the kitchen and he was happy playing while I started to prepare dinner. Skevi came in to fuss him and he barked at her, think he frightened her a bit :-( I picked him up and took him to her to show him that she was OK and her that he isn't scary. I think they were both fine.

As Skevi was going I let him out the kitchen and he was at my feet while we were chatting. Rodders started to lap from the water bowl, this is good news as he doesn't drink much and I tend to make his meals wetter to compensate. Not happy with just drinking he decided it was time for a paddle! Both paws in, out, in, out, water going everywhere. I couldn't believe it, he has never done anything like this. And then he started to try and tip the bowl. Time to stop him before we get a flood. As I grabbed him to dry him off Skevi grabbed the mop and cleaned the floor for the second time today!
