Half sleep

Rodders woke from his nap much earlier than normal and we went straight in to the garden. He was very floppy to start with and I came back in. He didn't seem bothered to be on his own and gradually pottered about, had a piddle, chased a few leaves and then realised he was on his own.

He came back towards the door and barked. Sometimes he will use his step without encouragement, sometimes he won't. He just stood on the patio barking at me in the conservatory. So I get down on all fours making exciting noises until he leaps in and comes straight to me and rolls over for his tummy to be rubbed. He then wandered off to play on his own for a minute.

Not happy being on his own he came over for a fuss and I got him to sit before he got it. We managed this three times before he got bored.

He then went and lay in the sunlight and I spotted that he had sleep in his eyes and got a wet bit of cotton wool to sort that out - doesn't really like having his eyes done but did tolerate it for a minute. Don't think I have got it all out but we will try again later.

He really is dopey and I am sure he woke up too early so I am going to try and settle him down again for some quiet time.
