Good job I brought a new pair of winter slippers earlier in the year and they are safely tucked away upstairs. Rodders is now playing tug with my current ones, with my foot in it. So far he hasn't managed to nip my toes but when he does that will signal the end of the game for sure.
I should probably stop him but there have been a few battles today over him chewing things he shouldn't and I am getting tired.
And on to the next battle, the biting was getting worse so Rodders has just spent 20 minutes in the kitchen to try and calm him down. I was sat at the dining table and giving puppy treats whenever he was quiet or playing & turning away and ignoring him when he barked or whined. I went in twice and the first time he just tried to bite me straight away so I came out again, The second time he ignored me while I put something in the bin. I stayed in there with him for a little while and then opened the baby gate. He came through in to the lounge but wanted to play so I grabbed a toy. he then ran to the back door and I let him out. So desperate for a piddle he only made it to the end of the patio.
He came back in and got a puppy treat and lots of fuss. He took his prize on to the rolled up carpet. While he munched on that I cleared up the kitchen floor of all the puppy treats from earlier & put them back in the pot for another day.
When I walked back in to the conservatory he was just sitting nicely on the rolled up carpet, a sure sign he is tired. I called him through to the lounge and put him on my knee. It took a while but he is now settled on snuggle fleece on the floor.
