We came back through the house and went in to the garden for a quick piddle (Rodders, not me!). Rodders was happy out there on his own so I came back in. He wasn't sure about the noise the Magpies were making and after stopping and listening for a little while he came back in and stood listening to them at the door.
And then the back gate opened and OH came through. Rodders didn't seem bothered and didn't go to great him! OH came in with his first load - a soaking pair of boots, a soggy pair of trousers and a couple of pairs of very wet socks - don't even ask what he has been up to, but he did have a good day!
Rodders said hello gingerly and OH went to get the 2nd load. While he was gone Rodders was sniffing the trousers, they seemed very exciting & they even got the odd lick! I do hope there was nothing on them that he can catch!!!!! Who knows what lurks in the depth of the forest......
After all that excitement Rodders was shattered and has settled down for a snooze at my feet. He doesn't seem bothered by us talking or moving about, just raises the odd eye. He did come to the bottom of the stairs when I went to the bathroom but was happy enough downstairs. He settled back down on the fleece once I sat back down and currently has his head on my foot.
