2nd Walk

Rodders has slept for ages today and isn't showing much interest in food.

Once he woke up from his second nap and ate a little bit of lunch I put on my boots and jacket and we went out the back door to the gate. I made Rodders sit and put on his lead before we went out. He wasn't at all sure about going out that way and needed a wee bit of encouragement.

We walked along the garages and then turned left and headed for the rugby field, many of his walks will be around here in the future, but it took us almost 15 minutes to get there (it is less than a 5 minute walk from home) as he stopped to listen to crying children, sniff and watch cars. He wasn't too sure about getting up a high pavement either. Sometimes he was walking, sometimes almost running and his tail was up mostly.

Once we reached the rugby field we stopped and had a look around and then headed home. We got to the end of our front path and he stopped and refused to move, me thinks he wanted to stay out longer but the recommendation is for short walks to start with so we will stick with that.

With much encouragement he decided to move and we came in, past the bins, without too much bother.
