I needed to pack the car and I didn't have enough hands to manage Rodders as well so I left him in the lounge behind the door and said he had to stay.
He barked two or three times and then silence.
When I came back in he was sitting on his snuggle fleece in front of the sofa. As soon as I walked in the door he was thrilled to see me, was making squeaky puppy noises and wanted up for a snuggle.
Right, second load and Rodders to the car!
