Rodders eventually fell asleep on me, would get up for a very short play and then fall asleep again. And this is how our day went on until about 1pm when I decided enough was enough.
I put my shoes on which got him a little interested and then I put a coat on and he was beside me. We went out and poop scooped the garden and then I went to the front door leaving him behind the lounge door. He did bark once but was quiet after that. And the greeting he gave me when I came back in was as though I had been gone for hours.
