Rodders seems to have selective deafness where I am concerned - he never ignores OH! I have tried changing my tone of voice and the volume but he just doesn't hear it!
There is definitely nothing wrong with his hearing as he can hear me rip a sheet of kitchen roll when he is at the end of the garden and he comes flying in the door.
According to many of the posters on the Schnauzer Forum they respond better to positive enforcement that earns them treat so maybe I need to work on this. The only thing that really seems to motivate him in the food line is his liver treats.
I will be glad to get to training on saturday so I can get a better idea of what I am doing right and wrong!
